Additional Packing lists for TREk family

(Assistance sourcing these items will be provided at the ward level. Consult with your Bishop)

☐ Tent for Ma & Pa

☐ Tent for YM (Size Sufficient to # of YM in your trek family)

a. If only one Big Brother, they will need their own tent or they could sleep in YM tent but then they must have Pa sleep in the same tent. 

☐ Tent for YW (size sufficient to # of YW in your trek family)

a. If only one Big Sister, they will need their own tent or they could sleep in YW tent but then they must have Ma in the same tent also.

☐ Tarp for the trail (to be used to cover the handcart if rains, or to sit on for lunch on the trail)

☐ Tarp for campsite

☐ Small Collapsible Canopy (for family to gather under at campsite. Must be lowered when away from site)

☐ Small camping shovel (optional)

☐ Hammer or mallet (some shovels can be used as hammers)

☐ Bucket Opener (for 5 gallon buckets) Each trek family should have at least one. Youth will have difficulty opening buckets without it.

☐ Two insulated 5-gallon, wide-mouth water cooler 

☐ One medium sized box cooler for lunches, etc. to carry in handcart) 

☐ Box of trash bags for trek family camp area (pack one each day for the trail)

☐ 1 good pocket knife and/or scissors

☐ Safety pins (wardrobe malfunctions)

☐ Extra flashlight / lantern (no burning lanterns...battery powered only)

☐ Extra batteries for the extra flashlight / lantern

☐ Consecrated oil

☐ Squirt bottle or spray bottle to keep the Trekkers cool

☐ Sharpie or other marking pen

☐ Sunscreen (incase trekkers forget their own)

☐ Extra chafing prevention (Anti Monkey Butt Powder, A& D Ointment, Gold Bond Powder, Zeasorb, Baby Powder,etc.)

☐ Several Carabiners (Attach water bottles to cart & to connect your tarp to another cart's tarp for shade)

☐ 50ft Paracord (to tie tarps down)

☐ 10 Zip ties (connect items to cart)

☐ Hand sanitizer (12oz pump bottle) for the handcart and at campsite

☐ Bug repellent (pump or spray can for family use)

☐ Wet wipes (for family use on the trail)

☐ Kleenex tissues (box of 65 tissues)

☐ Toilet paper (1 roll for emergency) Site will provide toilet paper

☐ Duct tape (colored to match your company color, one roll- optional)

☐ 2 Bungee cords (24" each - To attach your 5 gallon water coolers to the handcart- optional)

☐ Decorated family flag (the flag will be provided to you by Stake at a Stake Activity before Trek)

a. Each Trek family decorates this flag before Trek to hang from your handcart

☐ 2 x containers/buckets to wash dishes (one for washing, another for rinsing for your trek family)

☐ Small dish detergent

☐ Two Dishtowels to dry dishes

(Additional items can be stored in a tub/container label with your Trek Family Number. Label everything with company color and family number. If possible, use your company color to label)
